Johan It was the beautiful artwork of the cover, that dragged me into Torchlight's world immediately. And the music itself closed the gate behind me, so that I will never be able to escape that realm. Nor would I ever want to. A great release! Favorite track: Where Wizards and Demons Meet.

Fen Walker Another excellent offering from Torchlight. The songs perfectly reflect the desperation, decay and decline of the albums titular village. I will be returning to this one again and again. Favorite track: Crazy King's Human Chess.

Black clouds gather above the land
where an evil and crazy tyrant reigns.
His many victims, killed for fun
lie in the ground but their souls keep on roam.
Thousand of whispers in the crumblin' towers
"Do not play with the demon's powers!"
The terror takes hold of everyone's hearts
And the hope for relief is falling apart.

The LP incorporates some unique key changes, field recordings and a lot of Mort Garson style synth work. It sometimes reminds me of old 70's PG horror soundtracks. My favorite out of the three I believe.The sound is more aggressive and fits the cover art of what looks like a perilous journey for the protagonist. Fits well at being the second in the trilogy of albums. Every song is good and the cassette tape and package is of good quality. A Great buy that deserves a vinyl edition. Joshua Laleina
