Dave Aftandilian Nicely varied array of musty, cobweb-covered DS atmospheres on this split. Catacombs Enshrouded feels more cinematic and soaring, like a glimpse of a forgotten German silent horror film playing against the damp walls of an abandoned castle’s dungeon. Bastard Sword offers a more straight-ahead DS aesthetic, giving us gentle, beautifully shadowed memories of ancient days and mighty deeds. Favorite track: BASTARD SWORD - In Death His Hand Still Held the Sword.

about

This CD features an eight track album split between two obscure dungeon synth artists. CATACOMBS ENSHADOWED kicks things off with a decrepit and rickety soundtrack, like a carriage weaving it's way through the Carpathians on it's way to a black tower. BASTARD SWORD makes his debut with a melancholic and flowing soundscape of traditional medieval dungeon synth fantasy.

Available as a 4 panel matte finish Digipak CD with a 1.25" pin.
